PUSH THE LIMITS
“Pain is temporary. It may last a minute, or an hour, or a day, or a year, but eventually it will subside and something else will take its place. If I quit, however, it lasts forever.” – Lance Armstrong
We work our teams hard and smart and it all begins with a well thought out and practical season plan that takes all facets of our athletes’ lives into consideration. Under the direct supervision of Michael Cook, our athletes have targeted daily training sessions right in our facility at the Nashoba Valley Olympia. Based upon the latest proven methods, Michael creates specific workouts which ensure that our athletes are best prepared to take on the rigors of their on-ice training, and most importantly, are guarded against injuries.
On-Ice Training / Group Classes – Train in a competitive, safe and supportive TEAM environment
Off-Ice Lifting – Lift technique and strength development occur daily with individual attention and/or class lifting sessions.
Optional Training Opportunities – Based upon individual goals and needs, there are multiple additional services, Yoga, Dance & Ballet, etc. that round out our athletes training schedule.
Wellness Services – Partnership with Childrens’ Hospital Boston, Chiropractic Services (Mika Tapanainin), Acupuncture (George Leung), Psychology recommendations and Nutrition services are provided and available for all of our Skate Pairs athletes.
Injury Management – Physical Therapy – Sports Medicine – Partnership and Priority access to Specialists and Services: Michael Cook spearheads and coordinates all services through Children’s Hospital Boston, and we create comprehensive “return-to-play” plans, with the main goal of getting our athletes healthy and injury free efficiently and productively.
