Carrie received her bachelor’s degree in English and Secondary Education from Rhode Island College in 2000. She taught high school English at Cumberland High School and in 2002 when her oldest daughter was born she decided to make a career change and coach skating full-time. Carrie believes that athletics help to build strength in the body and mind, building self-confidence, teaching life lessons and a healthy lifestyle.
Outside of coaching Carrie enjoys spending time with her husband, Doug and their three daughters: Emma, Kate and Callie. Emma is a competitive horseback rider in the USEF Hunter division, division, Kate plays elite travel soccer and Callie enjoys going to school and gymnastics.
