Kay fell in love with skating watching Disney on Ice when she was three years old, and told her Nana, “That’s what I want to do when I grow up.” Seventeen years later, she is still following her dreams. She started skating when she was five, and started pairs skating when she was 10. She competed in singles and pairs at the Senior level, and has over eight years of pairs experience. She placed 8th at the 2016 and 2015 US National Championships in Junior pairs. She is very excited to see what the future has in store as she starts a new chapter of her skating career.
Outside of the rink, Kay is also a Junior at Boston College majoring in Economics. She serves on the Executive Board of Sports Business Society, and interns with the Boston College Sports Marketing Department. When she isn’t studying, working, or skating, she is probably cheering on Boston College Eagles, or hometown team, the Carolina Hurricanes. Although southern at heart, Kay has gotten used to the colder weather and is happy to call Boston home.
